Advanced degrees are costly. Unfortunately, most scholarships and grants are aimed at undergraduates. The first step in getting financial aid is completing the FAFSA. Since Antioch is a graduate school, students will probably be familiar with that process. The university uses FAFSA figures to determine financial need for school scholarships. There are several scholarships and grants offered at Antioch University. For example, The Jonathan Daniels Scholarship awards $500 to half-tuition grants to students of financial need and academic merit. There are also university merit scholarships for academic excellence, and external scholarships, awarded by individuals or organizations, with various eligibility requirements. To apply for these, students access a general application form on the school website.
Students who find their financial need is not met with scholarships and grants may take out student loans. There are resources to help repay these debts. The $ALT program lists resources for loan repayment. Other resources include the Income-Based Repayment Program offered through the federal government and The Pay-As-You-Earn program. Both of these reduce payments. Students can use these and, after ten years of repayment, access the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
